As the hub of Southern Utah, St. George is surrounded by a tapestry of brilliant red cliffs, manicured green golf courses, and cobalt blue skies. The city bustles with many specialty shops, an enclosed mall, the Dixie Center’s convention facilities, a new state-of-the-art medical campus, Dixie State College, St. George Municipal Airport, as well as many fine dining establishments and a wide variety of accommodations.

Recently, Inc Magazine ranked St. George as one of the hottest cities for business.  AARP named St. George as one of America’s top ten dream towns. The Farmer’s Insurance Group deemed St. George the most secure place to live in the nation for 2007. Forbes Magazine ranked St. George as one of the top ten best places to do business.

Ivins

Nestled at the base of the majestic cliffs of Red Mountain lies the community of Ivins. Nowhere in the United States can you find a more breathtaking scenic area. Located northwest of St. George, away from the busy Interstate 15 corridor, you can enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert. Residents and visitors can take advantage of hiking or biking along the city’s paved trails, which connect with other trails inside nearby Snow Canyon State Park, St. George and Santa Clara.

Ivins is home to the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge and the Red Mountain Spa, both  leading health and fitness centers; Tuacahn Amphitheater, a 2,000-seat amphitheater; Snow Canyon Clinic, a multi-specialty clinic featuring advanced MRI systems; and Kayenta’s Coyote Gulch Art Village restaurant, art studios and galleries.

Santa Clara

Santa Clara City is the ideal scene of a hometown community. Carved out of the desert by faithful pioneers and built into the “garden spot” of Washington County, it serves as a respite for both visitors and residents. Tall sycamores line Main Street shading humble pioneer structures, brick bungalows and ranch-style homes. Santa Clara’s philosophy is to keep in touch with the past by not changing the face of the community.

The city continues its strong sense of heritage through its landmarks, historical buildings, parks and an annual Swiss Days Celebration. This is all a complement to the small (population nearing 7,500), yet diverse, collection of well manicured neighborhoods. From the valley where settlement first started, to the heights where subdivisions look across rugged lava to red sandstone mountains, to the cool banks of the Santa Clara River, it is a place where friends, family and neighbors live, work and play together.

Hurricane

Hurricane is located 20 miles east of St. George along State Route 9 — the road to Zion National Park and other scenic areas and has a population of more than 12,000. This charming community still offers country-like living.

Recreational opportunities at Quail Creek, Sand Hollow Reservoir, and the Washington County Equestrian Park and Fairgrounds highlight this growing community. It is home to the Gateway Industrial Park which includes a DATS Trucking, Boulevard Distribution Center and a regional Wal-Mart Distribution Center.

Washington City

Washington City is the second largest city in Washington County with a population of approximately 21,000. Located just east of St. George, it is home to the Albertson’s Shopping Center (Albertson’s, Big Lots, Burger King), Cotton Mill I (Wal-Mart SuperCenter, Home Depot, Petco, El Pollo Loco, IHOP, Jack In The Box, Zions Bank), Cotton Mill II (Kohl’s, Roberts Arts & Crafts, OfficeMax, Village Bank, Red Robin, Shoe Carnival, Down East Home and Clothing, Natural Grocers), Telegraph Marketplace (Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Payless Shoe Source, Del Taco, Honeybaked Ham, In-N-Out Burger), Coral Canyon Town Center (Zion Harley-Davidson, Holiday Inn Express & Suites), and many other great businesses.

Several additional commercial projects will be developed around the Washington Parkway interchange at Mile Post 13 in the coming years. A new north frontage road connection along I-15 now completes Buena Vista Boulevard between the interchanges at Mile Post 10 and Mile Post 13.
