The American Stroke Association recently awarded Dixie Regional Medical Center its Get With The Guidelines Gold Performance Achievement Award for stroke care, and Silver Performance Achievement Awards for both coronary artery disease and heart failure. Only a handful of hospitals nationally have earned similar triple achievement recognition.
The region's only newborn intensive care unit (NICU) is located in the women's and children's center at Dixie's 400 East Campus. Along with advanced programs like perinatology and antenatal care for mothers, the NICU allows babies born up to 17 weeks early to be cared for locally.
Cancer patients can be confident they are receiving the best cancer care close to home. Dixie's Cancer Center, located on the 400 East Campus, was remodeled in late 2005 and rededicated as Utah's second Huntsman-Intermountain Cancer Center.
Located on Rimrock Wash just east of the River Road hospital, the new Health & Performance Center provides services for individuals who need help achieving an active, healthy lifestyle, including sports medicine, acceleration sports training, Dixie Regional Sleep Disorders Center, Dixie Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Southwest Neurology Associates, rehabilitation services, Rim Rock Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Zion Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, radiology and imaging, and outpatient surgery.
Other Intermountain facilities in Washington County include InstaCare and primary care clinics at the hospital's River Road campus, on Sunset Boulevard, and in Hurricane.
Through the philanthropy of many generous donors, Jubilee Home charitable lodging facilities at both Dixie Regional campuses welcome patients and their families who travel to Dixie Regional for care.
