St George/Washington County, UT

Picture clear, blue, sunny skies, add a few, fluffy white clouds, red rock mountains, green golf courses, picturesque walking trails, thriving businesses, great shopping and you've got a picture of living and working in the St. George area.

Washington County's climate features warm winters for golf, tennis and other outdoor activities with over 300 sunny days per year. Summers feature high temperatures of 105 degrees and cool nights dropping into the 70's, perfect for patio lifestyles around the pool. The desert climate, elevation 2,800 feet, promotes year round recreation and leisure activities. St.George is known as the "year round golf capitol of Utah" which offers ten great, scenic golf courses and five additional golf courses in nearby Mesquite, NV. Annual rainfall averages eight inches a year, which is normally concentrated in the spring and fall.

The natural topography of St. George and neighboring communities allows for a small town feel even though our metropolitan population is projected to approach the 160,000 mark for the year 2007. Nearby Pine Valley and neighboring Pine Mountain soar to nearly 10,000 feet offering a cool summer retreat just 20 miles from St. George. Gunlock, Quail Creek and Sand Hollow Reservoir, offers great boating and water skiing opportunities close by, while Lake Mead and Lake Powell with world class boating opportunities are just under two hours away.

St. George/Washington County is situated in the southwest corner of Utah, just six miles from the Arizona State line on Interstate 15. St. George, the county seat, is the county's largest city. It is nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by impressive, red sandstone cliffs. Zion's Park and Bryce Canyon are both within a short drive.
