"Doing what matters most for business." |
Industrial SitesQuick Facts: Year-End 2006
The industrial segment of the Washington County market maintains its strong attraction for manufacturing and distribution companies. With the announcement of the beginning of construction on a new I-15 interchange, and the final FAA approval for the new airport, we expect the attraction for these types of businesses to be enhanced. There has been an addition of approximately 500,000 square feet to the industrial inventory since the end of 2006, with 536,000 square feet under construction, and an additional 400,000 square feet in the final planning stages. The contract for the infrastructure for Phase VI of the Fort Pierce Industrial Park has been awarded; this will add over 100 acres to our existing inventory of land. With several quality companies looking seriously at making the commitment to Washington County we do not anticipate much, if any, slowdown in Industrial activity. 1.10.07 Fort Pierce Industrial and Business ParkThe Park consists of 1100 acres of industrial zoned land. 435 acres have been sold and over 800,000 sq. ft. of buildings have been developed by existing businesses.
