"Doing what matters most for business." |
A Sense of CommunitySt. GeorgeSt George City Offices As the hub of Southern Utah, St. George is surrounded by a tapestry of brilliant red cliffs, manicured green golf courses and cobalt blue skies. The city bustles with many shopping choices, specialty shops, an enclosed mall, the Dixie Center convention facilities, a new state-of-the art medical campus, Dixie State College, St George Municipal Airport, as well as many fine dining establishments and a wide variety of accommodations. IvinsIvins City Offices Nestled at the base of the majestic cliffs of Red Mountain lies the community of Ivins. No where in the United States can you find a more breath-taking scenic area. Located northwest of St George, away from the busy I-15 corridor, you can enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert. Besides the red sandstone mountains you'll find white sandstone canyons and black lava flows adding the color and beauty. Residents and visitors can take advantage of hiking or biking along the city's paved trails, which connect with other trails inside nearby Snow Canyon State Park, St George and Santa Clara. The unique, desert community of Kayenta is located in the City of Ivins and many of the nearly 5,000 residents of Ivins are retirees and professionals who have fallen in love the towering red mountains. Ivins is home to the Red Mountain Resort, The Adventure Spa, a leading health and fitness center (recently ranked as the No. fitness resort by Fitness Magazine) and the Tuachan Amphitheater, a 2,000-seat amphitheater for open-air productions and is often called "The Broadway of the Desert." Adjacent to the amphitheater is Tuachan High School, a charter school specializing in curriculum for the performing arts. Kayenta's Xetava Gardens, Datura Art Gallery, Zia Pottery Studio as well as the Snow Canyon Clinic are, also, located in this scenic community. Snow Canyon Clinic's imaging center features the newest and most technically advance magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems providing the most state-of-the-art medical care. Ivins has a commitment to expanding the commercial development in Ivins, said City Manager, Judy Gubler. New commercial developments with mixed uses and pedestrian oriented "Village" feel are in the planning stages to take advantage of Ivin's low-stress scenic surroundings. Santa ClaraSanta Clara City Office, Santa Clara City is the ideal scene of a hometown community. Carved out of the desert by faithful pioneers and built into the "garden spot" of Washington County, it serves as a respite for both visitors and residents. Tall sycamores line the main street shading humble pioneer structures, brick bungalows and ranch-style homes. Santa Clara was named by Spanish explorers in honor of a saint. "Santa means a female saint and "Clara' means a short interval of fair weather. In the spring of 1854, missionaries came and stayed with the Paiute Indians living in the area. Later that year, Jacob Hamblin and company arrived in the valley and worked with the 800-member Paiute tribe, who were already farming along the Santa Clara Creek. Together they built the first irrigation canal, and the first cotton grown in the Utah Territory. Today you can enjoy their historic tree-lined streets which are only minutes from St George. This historic community was built on banks of the Santa Clara Creek and was the considered the oasis of the area especially for travelers going to Southern California. Dennis Drake, Mayor of Santa Clara wants the city to continue to be a blossoming town rising in the middle of a desert. Numerous young families have made Santa Clara Heights their home in the many new neighborhoods overlooking magnificent views of the red rock mountains, black lava fields and Snow Canyon. The city continues its strong sense of heritage through its landmarks, historical buildings, parks and annual Swiss Days Celebration. This is all a complement to the small (population nearing 6,000), yet diverse, collection of well manicured neighborhoods. From the valley where settlement first started, to the heights where subdivisions look across rugged lava to red sandstone mountains, to the cool banks of the Santa Clara River, it is a place where friends, family and neighbors live, work and play together. And it is a place that residents love to call "home." Washington CityWashington City Hall Washington City is the third largest city in Washington County and is located north of St George. The city was established in 1857 by Mormon pioneers whose mission was to raise cotton along Mill Creek. The historic, Cotton Mill, still stands and is currently the home of Star Nursery. The city was named in honor of President George Washington. Home Depot and Super Wal-Mart are located in Washington City just off -15. Many new housing developments are being established in this area. Green Spring Golf Course with views of Pine Valley Mountain and the red mountains is, also, located in this beautiful community. Population is now about 14,000. The beautiful Coral Canyon Golf Course and community lies on Washington City's northern border and is a great addition to the Washington City area. Washington Chamber of Commerce, 111 N 100 East, Washington, UT 84780HurricaneHurricane City Offices Hurricane is located 20 miles east of St George on SR 9, the route to Zion National Park and other scenic areas from I-15. A charming community which still offers country-like living. It is the home of Coral Canyon Golf Community and Sky Mountain Golf Course as well as a growing industrial park. A regional Wal-Mart distribution center and Orgil, one of the largest independent distributors of hardware in the U.S. are located just off I-15. Their population is now more than 12,000. Recreational opportunities at Sand Hollow Reservoir and the Washington County Equestrian Park and Fairgrounds highlight this growing community.
