CHAMBER LUNCHEON

This week's luncheon will be held on Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

The luncheon this week will be held at the Dixie State College Gardner Center. It will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Lunch will be served promptly at 11:45. Check-in is at the registration table, near the front entrance of each luncheon. Please arrive early to be seated before 12:00. The luncheon cost is $13.00 per plate. St. George Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Nominations OPEN

The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Nominations
are now OPEN. The Board has appointed a nominating committee to provide a slate of candidates to fill the five vacancies on the Chamber Board of Directors for 2010. Leadership is the key to a successful Chamber program, and the Nominating Committee solicits your nominations to make certain that no person is overlooked who should be considered as a member of the Board. The elected Board of Directors determines policies and plans of action aimed at maintaining and developing a community in which business and families can thrive. The Board provides insight and influence for approval of Chamber action and policies. Please return your nomination form by mail to 97 E. Volunteers Needed at the Chamber of Commerce!

Looking for a fun way to fill your time? Have a few extra hours a week you could spare? Come Volunteer at the Chamber of Commerce! Volunteers are essential to the Chamber's daily operations. Volunteers work a four hour shift one day a week. The morning shift is 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and the afternoon shift is 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We are currently looking for Volunteers to work Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Responsibilities include answering phones, helping visitors with area information, and assembling relocation packets for mailing. We offer training! We also are looking for Volunteers that can substitute on an "as needed" basis. Chamber Members are encouraged to submit company event information, open house announcements, job offers, education opportunities, press releases, etc. For inclusion in the next St. George Area Chamber of Commerce E-Newsletter, please submit all information by Friday, September 11th, 2009 by 12:00 noon. Submissions will not be published in the September 15th eNewsletter if received late. All submissions will be printed as is. Submissions should be written from a 'third person' point of view.
