This week's NETWORKING luncheon will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

The luncheon this week will be held at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts Dance Hall, located across from the Box Office. It will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. The Board has appointed a nominating committee to provide a slate of candidates to fill the five vacancies on the Chamber Board of Directors for 2010. Utah Needs Your Help!

"Life at Guantanamo Bay" Art Exhibit at Dixie State College

Dixie State College of Utah's Sears Art Museum Gallery is currently displaying a special exhibit entitled "Life at Guantanamo Bay" by artist and St. George native Heather May Schwartz. Admission is free and open to the public. Schwartz and her family recently returned from Guantanamo Bay Naval Station in Cuba, where they lived for the past six years. The "Life at Guantanamo Bay" exhibit will be on display Monday-through-Thursday through Sept. 10, from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Dinosaur National Monument Celebrates 100 Years of Discovery!

United Way Dixie 2nd Annual Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser

United Way Dixie has just kicked off their second annual Golf Ball Drop fundraiser. Donations for numbered golf balls are now being accepted at all SouthWest Federal Credit Union branches and on United Way Dixie?s website at www.dixieunitedway.org. Donate $5 for one ball or $20 for 5 balls. The Golf Ball Drop will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 5:00 pm at the Washington County Fair. You don?t need to be present to win. The City of St. George presents: Concert in the Park 2009 Series

The ?Concert in the Park? is back, and better than ever!!! Held every second Monday of each month through September, see different artists perform at Vernon Worthen Park. St. George's Downtown Farmers Market 2009

Local farmers and artisans are now selling their wares every Saturday morning throughout the summer at Ancestor Square. The season will run from May 9th to October 31st. Located at Main St. and St.George Blvd., this quaint park is the ideal place for a relaxing shopping and socializing experience. Each Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon you can enjoy warm bakery goods and coffee while you shop for seasonal vegetables and fruits. The Associated General Contractors of Utah (AGC of Utah) is holding Contractor Continuing Education Seminars!
