Volunteer at the Chamber!!!

Looking for a fun way to fill your time? Have a few extra hours a week you could spare? Come Volunteer at the Chamber of Commerce! Volunteers are essential to the Chamber's daily operations. Volunteers work a four hour shift one day a week. The morining shift is 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and the afternoon shift is 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We currently looking for Volunteers to work Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Responsibilities include answering phones, helping visitors with area information, and assembling relocation packets for mailing. We offer training! We also are looking for Volunteers that can substitute on an "as needed" basis. The St. George Classic Car Show is coming on Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Downtown Historical St. George. Coyote Gulch Art Village is having a Classic Car Parade and Salsa Tasting!

Morris Murdock Lecture Series

Morris Murdock Travel will be continuing their lecture series with "Travel Lectures Series #4" on May 5th, 2009 at 6:00 pm. Weight Loss Challenge and Free Nutrition Class

Dixie Regional Medical Center's Annual Jubilee Cup

The Foundation of Dixie Regional Medical Center and Jacobsen Construction will hold the 12th Annual Jubilee Cup Charity Golf Tournament this year on June 4th at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club and on June 5th at The Ledges Golf Club. Proceeds benefit bringing Life Flight helicopter services to southern Utah. UDOT Region 4 Weekly Construction Report

The Utah Department of Transportation has selected to reconstruct the Bluff Street Interchange (Exit 6) at I-15 in St. George, Utah. Workers are constructing and pouring center medians, Ramp finishing, Landscaping, Business access construction and Street clean-up. There will be Bluff Street lane closures. At the Atkinville Interchange (I-15 Milepost 2) workers will continue landscaping. The adjacent rest area is being used for retaining wall construction. The east side of the interchange accessing the Southern Parkway remains closed to the public. No major traffic impacts are expected. On I-15; Washington To Cottonwood Creek, Milepost 10 to 19, shoulder excavation and fill work continues. Repairing overpass beams and paraput ends. Heavy machinery continues clearing ground for an auxiliary truck lane. Trench work for fiber optic cable continues east and parallel to the interstate. Small crushing activity and material moving. Speed has been reduced to 65 mph from Hurricane exit to milepost 19 in both directions. Expect minimal delays as traffic merges into one lane in that area. Washington County Children’s Justice Center Golf Tournament

The Washington County Children's Justice Center is holding their Shotgun Golf Tournament at the Sand Hollow Resort & Golf Course, Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 8:00 am. Vendors and Sponsors Needed for the First Annual Red Rock Rotary Music Festival

The Red Rock Rotary Club presents the "Red Rock Music Festival". This First Annual Mother's Day Weekend event will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Vernon Worthen Park. The Red Rock Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Southern Utah Songwriters Association will present ten local bands that will perform free of charge. Don't miss out on this great day of fun and music in the park. This is a Red Rock Rotary Club and 95.9, The Hawk fundraiser for children in Washington County, Sponsored by Rice Brown Financial. Red Rock Rotary meets each Wednesday 7:15 am at the Dixie State College Gardner Center. All are welcome. The Wheeler Farm Store Seeking Products Made in Utah
Wheeler Historic Farm in Salt Lake City has a small store open during the spring, summer and fall months. They are getting ready to start the 2009 season and are interested in stocking Utah made products, such as snacks, jams and spreads, bread, granola, chips and salsa, produce and more. Ceramic Madness Invites You to Participate in the Stress Buster Arts & Craft Fair

Calling on all Crafters! Need a place to sell your crafts? Do you Quilt, scrapbook, beading, make jewelry, dolls, ceramics, woodworking, rugs, or anything else? Participate in the Stress Buster Craft Fair! The price for a 10x10 space (you provide table, and canopy, they have white plastic chairs) Is $35.00 ($5.00 of that will be sent to the state). The Fair will be held in the North Bluff Plaza. Between Subway and Sinclair Gas station on the opposite side of the street. (Between 500 & 400 North on Bluff Street). The fair will be held Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on the following dates: April 18th, May 2nd, May 16th, May 30th, June 13th and June 27th. If you are interested in participating as a vendor, it is first come first serve. There are only 10 spaces available at each Fair Date, so don’t hesitate call! Costco Wholesale is hosting a "Costco Is Helping to Create A Brighter Future For Kids"

The Children's Medical Network Business Show will be held on Saturday May 9, 2009 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The exhibit fee is only $450.00 and will be donated to Primary Children’s Medical Center. Best of all, Costco Wholesale will match a portion of the monies raised! Chamber members can exhibit their services and distribute promotional materials to the Costco Wholesale members that day.
