Financial Hope Support Group Offers Counsel

The public is invited to participate in a new outreach support program sponsored by Intermountain Healthcare titled: The Financial Hope Support Group. The monthly programs begin on March 25th, and will continue on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 2:00 pm in the Knight Education Building, located at 600 S. 300 East in St. George. The Financial Hope support group is coordinated by Pat Sapio. Sapio has a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling and social work. He was the assistant professor of social work at the University of Wisconsin for nearly 30 years. He currently co-directs PRIME Senior Services at Dixie Regional Medical Center and teaches courses on stress management as an adjunct faculty member of Dixie State College. UDOT Region 4 Weekly Construction Report

The Utah Department of Transportation has selected to reconstruct the Bluff Street Interchange (Exit 6) at I-15 in St. George, Utah. Finish roto-milling Bluff Street and laying out a final configuration. Installation of raised center medians. Ramp paving. Expect traffic restrictions on the ramps this week and possible lane closures at night. Motorists should be aware of lane changes. At the Atkinville Interchange (I-15 Milepost 2) workers will continue landscaping and construction activity continues as workers use the adjacent rest area for a staging area and concrete wall construction. The east side accessing the Southern Parkway remains closed. No major traffic impacts are expected. On I-15; Washington To Cottonwood Creek, Milepost 10 to 19, shoulder work continues from approximately mileposts 13 through 16 on the northbound lanes. Workers are clearing ground for an auxiliary truck lane and trench work for fiber optic cable continues east of the interstate. Northbound and Southbound traffic should expect minimal delays as traffic merges into one lane. Intermittent lane closures. The Washington County Children's Justice Center is holdign their Shotgun Golf Tournament at the Sand Hollow Resort & Golf Course, Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 8:00 am. The Red Rock Rotary Club is creating the "Red Rock Music Festival". This will be an annual event on Mother's Day Weekend. This year it will be on May 9, 2009. This will be a free concert in the park with Southern Utah Songwriters Association. Ten bands will perform. The St. George Kiwanis Club is now accepting donations for their April auction. The auction is widely viewed and a great way to get your business out there.
