Dixie State College Employment Fair
The annual Dixie State College Employment Fair is scheduled for Thursday, February 26. It will be held in the Gardner Center Ballroom from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. American Association of University Women Outreach Program
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) outreach program will be held at the Dixie State College Gardner Center on February 2nd at 11:30 am. Their speaker, Dr. Sharon Richens, will share her expertise at this event. Dr. Richens is a board-certified physician and surgeon specializing in the full spectrum of eye diseases and conditions. She is licensed to practice medicine in five states and has been awarded hospital privileges in three southern Utah medical facilities as well as in Idaho and Washington State. She has lectured extensively on eye care techniques and diseases. A short business meeting will be held at the conclusion of the presentation by Dr. Richens. New Mascot for Dixie Revealed
Dixie State College and DSC Athletics will be unveiling the institution’s new nickname and mascot during halftime of the Dixie men’s basketball game vs. Notre Dame de Namur on Monday, January 26, in the Burns Arena. The announcement is part of a twinbill of DSC basketball action as the DSC women begin the festivities as they square off against NDN at 5:30. Then at 7:30, the DSC men take to the court to face NDN, with the exciting announcement presentation to come at intermission. UDOT Region 4 Weekly Construction Report
The Utah Department of Transportation has selected to reconstruct the Bluff Street Interchange (Exit 6) at I-15 in St. George, Utah. Workers continue deck widening work. Paint crews will work under the structure this week. One lane of traffic will be closed under the interchange as workers paint girders. On I-15; South of Bluff Street to Washington (Mileposts 6 - 10) Crews continue to install advanced traffic management systems including fiber optic conduit and cable.
