Chamber Bylaws To Be Changed?
The Board of Directors of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce will consider amendments to the bylaws of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce at its regularly scheduled board meeting on October 22, 2008. The proposed changes will add a conflict of interest policy, clarify voting rights of board members, standardize language and make other technical amendments. Members ONLY may request an email copy of the proposed changes at russ@stgeorgechamber.com. The request must state the name of the requesting individual and the member business.

Dixie State College Calls for Homecoming Parade Entries
"Dixie ­ Always and Forever" is the theme for the 2008 Dixie State College of Utah Homecoming Week, which will kick off Friday, Oct. 3, and run through Saturday, Oct. 11. One of the many Homecoming traditions is the parade, which will run down Tabernacle and 300 East on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Utah Department of Transportation has selected to reconstruct the Bluff Street Interchange (Exit 6) at I-15 in St. George, Utah. Off-ramp work will continue for the next few weeks. Construction on the bridge will continue into winter. Please slow down and watch for construction workers and equipment. Drivers should be aware of access points.
