Moab Plane Crash Trust Fund and Memorial Walk

Our hearts go out to the families and friends of Dr. Lansing Ellsworth and his staff members who perished in an airplane crash in Moab on August 22, 2008. Ribbon Cutting for New Sciences Center

Dixie State College will formally dedicate its new Russell C. Taylor Health Sciences Center with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and open house slated for Friday, September 12, 2008. The Russell C. Taylor Health Sciences Center, which houses DSC full compliment of allied health academic programs, is located on east side of the Dixie Regional Medical Center River Road campus. The open house, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 3:00 pm. Refreshments will be served. The 5th Annual National Preparedness Month

Across the United States, 2,700 NPM coalition members, made up of national, regional, state, and local organizations will combine efforts to encourage all Americans to take steps to prepare for emergencies before they happen. The NPM 2008's theme is "Get a Kit, Make a Plan, Be Informed and Get Involved." To be involved in St. George, the St. George Police Department is offering a Community Emergency Response Training. This is a 24 hour, 9 unit, all hazards, hands on, class that is now in its 7th and final session for 2008. They also have classes now scheduling for 2009. If you are interested in being involved or getting more information on NPM or the C.E.R.T. program, please contact NPM coalition member, Valerie Seely at 435-627-4301 during regular business hours at the St. George Police Dept.

Dixie State College Invites Businesses to Join 'Welcome Back' Campaign

Dixie State College of Utah would like to enlist the help of St. George Area Businesses and Members of the St. George Chamber of Commerce to make the city a "College Town" and welcome our students back to campus for the start of the 2008 Fall Semester August 26th.
