CHAMBER LUNCHEON
This week's luncheon will take place Wednesday, April 5, 2008 at the Abbey Inn
The luncheon will be held from 12:00 to 1:00pm. The speaker's topic will be "The Gift of Possibility"

Business and Professional Women are our luncheon sponsor this week
Business and Professional Women (BPW) is a National organization that supports women in the workplace. BPW promotes equity for all women through advocacy, education, and information. BPW started as the Women’s War Council, financed through a federal grant from the US government to form a cohesive group to coordinate identification of women's available skills and experience; and to organize the resources of professional women. This evolved into The National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, founded on July 15, 1919. The BPW foundation raises money to educate women who need additional skills to advance in their careers or re-enter the job market, and for researching and disseminating information about women in the work force.
