The Dixie State College Dance Company, under the direction of DSC Director of Dance Dr. Li Lei, will present its annual Fall Dance Concert Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5-6, at 7:30 p.m., in the Dolores Dore’ Eccles Fine Arts Center Main Stage Theatre on the Dixie State College campus. Heritage Choir Christmas Concert December 12th (Friday) at the Tabernacle at 7:30 pm

The Heritage Choir will ring in the holidays with a special Christmas concert, “Come, Let Us Adore Him.” The Choir, under the direction of Dr. Keith Bradford, will sing Christmas favorites ranging from traditional carols surrounding the birth of Christ, to "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” and other delightful holiday songs. A special highlight will be the sweet singing of the 100 voice children's choir from the Bloomington Hills Elementary School under the direction of Celeste Tolman, together with soloists and special instrumentalists. UDOT Region 4 Weekly Construction Report

I-15 Milepost 2 paving has begun. Contruction is continuing. Only workers are permitted on the structure. This is a work zone and should be considered dangerous. Access modifications continue.The interchange is not open to traffic. Pioneer road will be closed from the Sun River Parkway north for approximately 3/4 miles. Traffic is being detoured onto Bluegrass way.
I-15 Bluff Street Interchange Improvements Exit 6 - workers are securing the pre-cast deck. Landscaping, cement finishing, and access construction is ongoing.
Expect occasional closures under the interchange at night as workers secure the
new bridge deck. During night time closures, I-15 traffic will be detoured to the on
and off ramps. Please use caution and follow the posted signs.

Poinsettia Sales Fundraiser to Benefit the Children's Justice Center

The Washington County Children's Justice Center announces their annual Poinsettia Sales fundraiser. The locally-grown plants come in red, white, Jester (red holly leaf), Peppermint (white with splash of red) and pink colors this year. Cost remains $10 each or $8.50 each if you order more than 5. Plants will be ready for pickup on three dates – Nov. 24, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8th from 12- 5 p.m. at the Children's Justice Center. Place your order by calling them at 435-634-1134. These vibrant, healthy, full plants contribute to a cheerful office décor, and make excellent gifts for clients, employees and friends. Orders must be placed in advance. Drip trays are available for an additional $1 per plant.

Coins for Kids

Coins for Kids exists to help provide Christmas for needy children in the local area who otherwise would go without presents at Christmas time. Last year, there were more than 2,700 children in 875 families who recieved the generous donations collected through Coins for Kids. This year, their financial target is $115,000 in order to ensure a proper Christmas for those who qualify. 100% of all funds raised are used for providing Christmas to needy children in Washington County.

The Dixie State College of Utah art department will hold its annual holiday student ceramic sale next Wednesday-through-Friday, Dec. 3-5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the DSC North Plaza Art Building (west entrance), located on 55 South 900 East.

Now in its 33rd year, this annual holiday tradition features the works of many DSC art students who use the sale to help pay for their college education. Hundreds of hand-made ceramic and pottery pieces will be on sale at reasonable prices, with 20% of all proceeds going to support the DSC art department. The holiday sale is the first of two sales DSC’s art department holds each year, including a similar sale toward the end of spring semester.
