CHAMBER LUNCHEON
The Chamber Luncheon this week will be held on August 1, 2007 from 12noon to 1 o'clock pm at the Holiday Inn.
The speakers tomorrow will be Mr. Kenneth Sizemore, Executive Director of the Five Counties Association of Governments and Mr. Brad DeMond, the Community and Economic Development Planner. Mr. Sizemore will be giving a brief overview of the role of the Five Counties Association of Governments and discussing the revolving loan fund that is available for businesses. Mr. DeMond will be discussing the workforce housing crisis that we are faced with here in Washington.

The Summit Tennis Academy is excited for summer!
Their junior programs are going to be great! Monday, Wednesday and Friday they will have Team Summit – a drop in clinic for all ages 5-18. Team Summit goes from 8:00 am – 9:30 am. The cost is $12 (non-members pay an additional $5 guest fee). On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have their ALL STAR Junior program. This is a one hour class from 8:00 am – 9:00 am for ages 5 – 10. Fire Restrictions to be Implemented in Cedar Breaks National Monument; Campfires Prohibited
As a result of the high fire danger in Cedar Breaks National Monument restrictions are being instituted prohibiting campfires and smoking on trails. Cedar Breaks features Monthly Star Parties To celebrate and share the beauty of our dark night skies, Cedar Breaks is throwing a series of monthly "Star Parties".
Star parties will be held on July 28th, August 11th, and September 8th. Each star party will be conducted by park staff and astronomy volunteers beginning at 8:30pm with a special evening program in our campground amphitheater, followed by star viewing through several large telescopes at Point Supreme.
