The 14th Annual Business Expo will be the biggest and best ever!

The Chamber is mounting an extensive marketing and advertising campaign that includes: radio, TV, print and direct mail, fax and email blasts, and outdoor advertising. Dixie State College's Dolores Dore' Eccles Fine Arts Center Sears Museum Gallery will be host the "Max Bunnell - Retrospective of an Artful Life" exhibit displayed from May 31 through August 25.

City of St. George Enters Stage One of the Culinary Drought Management Plan
Stage one asks for implementation of the following: No watering between 8am - 8 pm; when washing a car, hose must have an automatic shut-off; water should not be used to clean sidewalks or driveways.

The management and staff of the Courtyard by Marriott are asking the members of the Chamber of Commerce to assist them with a canned food drive to help those who are less fortunate.

If each member contributes a canned good a week through June 22nd, you could make a substantial contribution to our community. A container will be placed outside the Rim Rock Convention Center at the Marriott during our Chamber luncheon next week and at the next luncheon locations through June 22nd.

Border Enforcement Rally At Senator's Office Wednesday
Members of four local, pro-border-enforcement groups will be meeting on Wednesday, June 6th, at noon, at the St. George office of Sen. Bob Bennett (196 E. Tabernacle) to protest his expected vote in favor of a mass amnesty for illegal aliens and the surrender of our U.S. borders.
Leaders of the Utah Republican Assembly, the Citizens Council on Illegal Immigration, the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, and the Dixie Republican Forum will be delivering a letter calling on the Senator to announce that he has heard from his constituents and has decided to vote against S. 1348, the Kennedy/Kyl immigration reform bill.

Cedar Breaks Scenic Drive and Visitor Center Open

As of May 26th , the visitor center has opened. The hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. On June 10, visitor center hours will be expanded to 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with daily geology talks and other topics of interest offered on the hour from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. The park entrance fee for recreational use of the monument for the 2007 season is $4.00 per person ages 16 years or older, payable as you enter the Visitor Center/Point Supreme Overlook area. The new Cedar Breaks Annual Pass, Interagency Annual, Senior, and Access Passes may be used or purchased at the fee booth.
