Valpak of Southern Utah Announces the New Mover Mailer, an advertising medium that reaches the new movers in the Washington County.
Every month a list is obtained of the new movers in Washington County and a brochure of coupons is mailed to them. The booklet is 8 1/2 by 11 and each coupon is a third of a page. Cost is going to be $960 for 10,000 brochures! (Can break up into 6 payments of $160 a month if needed) It’s a great way to reach new clients; Washington County averages about 700 new movers a month! Southwest Federal Credit Union Has a New Office
With the assistance of NAI Commercial Real Estate, Southwest Federal Credit Union has acquired the first floor of the Boulevard Centre, Building A, for their new corporate offices. The suite will be finished to meet the credit union’s space plan requirements before they make the move. Their new corporate offices will be located at 150 North 400 East in St. George. The opening of this St. George office, along with their expansion into Mesquite, allows Southwest Federal Credit Union to offer better service to their members. The Walter Group and the Griffith Team represented the parties in this transaction.

DSC of Utah has announced it has been awarded a grant worth more than $52,000 from the LI-COR Genomics Education Matching Funds program, which will help bolster the College’s biology program.

Dixie State College's Dolores Dore' Eccles Fine Arts Center Sears Museum Gallery will be host the "Max Bunnell - Retrospective of an Artful Life" exhibit beginning Thursday, May 31.
The exhibit will run through August 25, and will feature a number of his water and oil paintings, along with various sketches. The Sears Museum Gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-through-Thursday. Admission is free to the public.

DSC's Summer Concert Series at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale, opens the 2007 season Saturday, May 19, with a performance from the Southwest Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets are available - $9 for adults, $5 for youth under 18. Chuck Wagon dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by a Bart Anderson lecture at 7 p.m. For more information, call 435-652-7902.

The Legacy Subaru Mitsubishi Jubilee Cup will be holding its 10th annual golf tournament May 30-31st, 2007.
Thanks to tremendous support from the community, the Legacy Subaru Mitsubishi Jubilee Cup will become a three-tournament event this year. The $700 per team/ $175 per individual registration fee includes one foursome, a tournament gift for each player, and two admission tickets per player to the dinner and auction at Entrada on May 30th. Funds raised from the Jubilee Cup provide critical support for Dixie Regional Medical Center, and strengthening rehabilitation, pain and spine services to both adults and children.

Darris Howe, Vice President and Director of the University of Phoenix Utah Campus announced an expansion of its St. George Learning Center located at 965 East 700 South.
When the St. George campus opened in September 2006, it consisted of almost 3500 square feet, which included 3 classrooms, 2 study rooms and an administration area. Now an additional 2400 square feet will bring an added classroom, a student Resource Center, a staff and student lounge, as well as enlarging a current classroom to better serve the present and future student base.

In the Reality Store, each youth is given a life situation. They are told what kind of job they have, how much money they make and what their family size is. The Reality Store is made up of several stations of life events: Housing, Transportation, Insurance, Child Care, Utilities, Groceries, Taxes, etc. The youth visit each station and buy what they need or get help with handling their budget and life situations. The stations would be manned by employers and business people from those facets of life. There would be a discussion/evaluation at the end of the day to help them see how schooling and choices they make will affect their career and life....more
