HB 158- Will raise
gas taxes 2 cents per gallon
every two years for the next
10 years.
The bill has passed out of
committee.

HB 156 & HB 127- One
bill will mandate businesses
with state contracts verify
legal work status, the other
bill mandates that all
businesses must verify legal
work status.
These bills are still
awaiting committee
assignment.

There is a new state
law in Utah under code
13-44-201 which concerns the
protection of customers'
information for all Utah
businesses.
The law went into effect in
January and is a great step
towards protecting
individuals who do business
in Utah from Identity theft.
