Dixie Regional Medical Center had a successful groundbreaking on Nov. 6 for thier new 150,000-square-foot Outpatient Pavilion. The Washington County Children’s Justice Center has rooms that still need to be adopted at the new center
The center is currently operating out of an old, clutter-filled home that the center has literally out-grown. The interview rooms are tiny and cramped with worn-out arm chairs, faded wallpaper borders and cheap office artwork and furniture. The Children’s Justice Center’s mission and design is to help children feel secure and at ease as they recount traumatic accounts of abuse in a calming environment where the truth can be told, without fear or re-traumatization, to proper authorities. The rooms stil available for adoption are: two parent rooms, foyer/receptionist area, three bathrooms, kitchen, child & teen interview rooms, offices, two meeting rooms and a garage/storage area.
