Grant Speed

Grant Speed was born in San Angelo, Texas.  He received a Bachelor of Science at Brigham Young University in 1959.  He served a mission for the LDS Church and also served his country in the United States Air Force.   He
married Sue Collins and they had three children.

His work is in numerous  and private collections throughout the United States
and abroad.  Grant has been a member of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America since its founding in 11966 and has served as its President and director for many years.  He has also served a a board member on the Utah
Arts Council.   Grant has received numerous awards, including a Gold
Medal for sculpture in the Cowboy Artists of American Show and the
coveted Prix de West Award from the National Academy of West Western Art.   His home and studio are in Linden, UT.
